Father of 7 home-schooled children. Six daughters and one son. My wife Lisa and I have been home schooling since 1992. We have been considering and investigating courtship and betrothal since around 2000 as our daugthers entered puberty. This coincides somewhat with the move within Christian home-school circles to explore and turn to Christ centered patterns in all areas of our lives. Beginning with the education of our children,accepting fully the responsibility as father to lead my family in worship and spiritual disciplines, seeking to be an active member in a "church" fellowship that does not segregate children from their parents during worship, and finally to investigating Biblically based precepts in the next phase of our childrens lives - marriage - and the HOW of getting there that does NOT follow the "modern American" pattern of dating.
